Cheryl Texiera
We’re thrilled to have Girl Meets World series regular Cheryl Texiera on our teaching staff!
Cheryl is best known for her role on Girl Meets World as Katy Hart, mother to Maya (as played by teen icon Sabrina Carpenter).
Originally from Mahopac, New York, this bi-costal actress studied at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Fordham University! Cheryl is a jack of all trades; an actress, writer, and producer! Cheryl’s other notable roles include It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and Bachelorette Weekend.
In 2012, she began creating her own content and opened the production company: CrazyChic Productions. The web series she created and starred in, Confessions of a Bitter(sweet) Actress, was nominated for a 2014 Independent Television Award. Cheryl has also appeared on the hit television programs Mike and Molly, NCIS: Los Angeles, The Mentalist, Happy Endings, and Shameless.
Her latest project, Hoax, is a Horror feature film that has Cheryl playing a primate specialist on a trip that goes horribly wrong and leads her to fight for her and her group’s survival. Hoax is due out in 2017.
Cheryl is a truly gifted instructor; easily connecting with our students and getting them to really open up and find ways to authentically relate to their scenes. We love having Disney stars on staff!
